Teen Wolf/Lydia theories under the cut! SPOILERS etc etc

I think the lizard thing is a big fat misdirect as others have said - they’ve also dropped some massive clues for another take on Lydia’s meltdowns though.

Seeing Peter Hale - she isn’t just having random scary hallucinations, she’s seeing things that lead to real, physical parts of his life (the trophy), information that would have to come from somewhere. So they aren’t purely nightmares.

Same for the wolfsbane! She has no precedent for that knowledge otherwise. Anyway, they’ve already established that scratches can implant memories from werewolves. What if getting sliced up by him did a whole lot of that?

The mirror - might have been hit because either Lydia saw Peter’s reflection, or Peter saw Lydia’s. In the counselor’s office, she directly quotes something Peter said (not to her). Then when the counselor asks where she heard that and she says she must have read/heard it somewhere, the counselor literally says something/someone “must have made an impression”.

I think that spelled it out, Peter Hale left an impression of himself on Lydia; she’s literally got him in his head.
